چکیده
Introduction : Computed tomography (CT) and CT angiography are standard imaging modalities for suspected acute intracerebral hemorrhage due to ruptured intracranial aneurysms. In this clinical setting, several protocols of computed may be implemented. The protocol is limited vessels. extended also include carotid vertebral arteries the aortic arch. Objective: To define role in detection extracranial artery disease significance method patients with hemorrhages Materials methods: study included 275 neurosurgical nontraumatic aneurysms who were treated Scientific Research Institute – Ochapovsky Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Krasnodar, Russian Federation) from September 2017 August 2020. performed all patients. scanned area both (an arch-to-vertex angiogram) detect diseases such as stenoses, occlusions, tortuosity, hypoplasia. Results Atherosclerosis internal was diagnosed 95 (34.5% total number study). 13 (4.7%) these stenoses hemodynamically significant. We identified a high frequency tortuous (122 cases, 44.3%) hypoplasia (59 21.5%). congenital anomalies (however, not arteries) associated higher incidence unfavorable outcomes after endovascular treatment Conclusions optimal should focus on head neck (up arch). This shows rate concomitant arteries. These findings important planning successful performance

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Chinese have been reported to have an extremely low prevalence rate of carotid and vertebral artery disease in comparison with whites. Previous studies, however, have been limited to general hospital stroke admission or postmortem series and were prone to selection bias. Extracranial cerebrovascular disease (ECCVD) is associated with coronary artery disease (CAD) in white...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Cerebral embolism from extracranial sources is an important cause of ischemic stroke. The purpose of this limited study using long-term transcranial Doppler ultrasonographic monitoring was to estimate the frequency of clinically silent intracranial embolisms in patients with symptomatic extracranial carotid artery disease.
